About KibbleMath

KibbleMath is a small collection of free dog calculators built on one belief: pet owners deserve the same quality of arithmetic their vets use — presented simply, with the formula visible, and without a signup wall in front of it.

Metric-first, on purpose

Most dog calculators online assume cups and pounds, while food labels across Europe speak in grams, kilograms and kcal (or kJ) per 100 g. Our tools default to metric and keep imperial one tap away, so the numbers match what's actually printed on your bag of food.

Where the formulas come from

The nutrition tools use the Resting Energy Requirement method (70 × kg0.75) and life-stage factors found in standard veterinary references. The age tool combines the traditional size-adjusted chart with the epigenetic-clock formula published in 2020 research on dog DNA methylation. Growth curves for the puppy predictor approximate published breed-size growth data. Every tool page explains its own method — if you spot something we can improve, tell us.

Independence

KibbleMath is independently built and maintained from the Czech Republic. We are not owned by, sponsored by, or affiliated with any pet food brand. If we ever add affiliate links to products, they'll be clearly disclosed and will never change a formula or a recommendation.

A necessary note

Calculators are starting points, not medical care. For anything touching your dog's health — weight loss, puppy growth concerns, pregnancy, sudden changes in thirst or appetite — your veterinarian is the answer, and we say so on every page.
